"If we are to stop the AIDS epidemic from expanding we need to break the cycle of new HIV infections. All of us working together with government, communities and civil society can make the difference that is needed. Together we have the power to change the course of destiny."            -Nelson Mandela (1918-2013)

Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela.

Volunteers came together this weekend to create the Stanford World AIDS Day 2012 Quilt that now hangs in Lagunita Dining. Eighty-four quilt squares in total were drawn and painted by students, and then hand-sewn together with yarn. The quilt may make appearances at Vaden Health Center or at the Firetruck House later in the year -- keep your eye out!

Above right: Tabling in White Plaza, counselors handed out Jamba Juice smoothies with condoms on top -- a double treat on a hot spring day!

Above left: HIV*PACT and SHPRC teamed up for tabling at Columbae's annual "F*ck The Man" party.

Left: HIV*PACT counselors have a tradition of dressing the part for outreach at 680's annual "Exotic Erotic" all-campus event. Every year we table outside the entrance, handing out condom necklaces and temporary tattoos with the messages "Play hot, play safe" and "Know your status."
